The warm deep currents of the Gulf Stream bring plentiful pelagic fish close to the islands to hunt for feeder fish. King Mackerel, wahoo, mahi mahi, barracuda, and billfish like sailfish and varieties of marlin, all can be found off the Bahamian coast, depending on the season. There is a massive drop-off from one hundred to one thousand feet close to the port of Nassau. This ledge is a great place to troll for these trophy pelagic fish.
