Take a day to escape the crowds and enjoy the sand, sun, and water of Blue Lagoon Island. This pristine island away from the crowds has everything you need to forget the hustle and bustle of the world and to relax with family and friends.
Blue Lagoon Island, located three miles from Nassau, Bahamas, is a private island. Centuries ago, the island was a salt marsh that attracted pirates and privateers. They would cull the salt from the lagoon and use it to preserve their food. They would also use the island as a rest stop while waiting for permission to proceed to Nassau Harbor. In the early 1900s, the salt marsh was dredged, palm trees were planted, and the island became a paradise garden. Privately owned, the island saw few visitors and was left to flourish under the Caribbean sun.
our visit to Blue Lagoon Island will begin with a cruise from Nassau Harbor to the Blue Lagoon beach. Scattered along the beach are hammocks, beach chairs, and picnic tables. The island is a great place for quiet walks among the native palm trees, home to a variety of tropical birds. Hidden in the middle of the island is another beautiful lagoon. The island also features volleyball and basketball courts. The water around the island is crystal clear and warm. If you want to go out into the water, you are welcome to use any of the floating tubes and mats on hand. Many aquatic animals call the water around Blue Lagoon Island home, including sea turtles and colorful fish. In the middle of the day, there will be a complimentary BBQ-style lunch prepared.
What are the prices for the additional activities?
- Snorkel gear is $20 for rental plus a $20 refundable deposit.
- Underwater "Scooters", aka Power Snorkel is $50 for 30 minutes plus a $20 refundable deposit
- Regular kayaks are $15 for 30 minutes and $25 for an hour
- Glassbottom kayaks are $20 for 30 minutes and $35 for an hour
- Water bikes are $15 for 30 minutes and $25 for an hour

Is transportation provided?
We provide Ferry transportation from the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal to Blue Lagoon, you must get to this location from your hotel or ship.
What is the weather cancellation policy?
If the activity must be cancelled due to bad weather, and you cannot reschedule, you will be issued a full refund.

What about sharks and other sea creatures?
With all the media hype it's understandable why people often ask this question but the truth is that unprovoked shark attacks are very, very rare and attacks on snorkelers are even more rare. Our staff are all trained in making sure your trip is safe and enjoyable.

- The 11:45AM Beach Day is a shorter day on Blue Lagoon, departures from island are 4:15pm at the latest.

- Guests are not allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages but they can purchase refreshing Bahamian cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages at the Blue Lagoon Tropical Bar
- Cameras are NOT permitted while doing any dolphin or sea lion programs. Observers only are permitted to have a camera, or persons just visiting for the beach day.
