The waters surrounding Paradise Island are a fisherman's dream. There is something to attract the water sportsman year-round. Join Captain Philip Pinder, a 25-year deep-sea fishing veteran, on his boat, Born Free IV, off the shores of the Caribbean islands.

Captain Pinder grew up in the Bahamas just a block away from Nassau Harbor. He enjoyed every kind of water sport the island offered. In 1978, his godfather, Master Captain Milton Pearce, offered to teach him the ins and outs of deep-sea fishing. Pinder took what he learned from Pearce and was one of the first to establish a fishing excursion charter business more than 25 years ago.

Captain Pinder continues to rely on the fishing techniques used for generations by fishermen in the Caribbean. At the same time, he has perfected his own style of deep-sea fishing, which will benefit your ability to catch the biggest and the best. Captain Pinder's success can be measured in the number of return customers who sail with him regularly.

You don't have to go too far away from shore for a great catch. The reefs around Paradise Island and New Providence Island drop from 100 to 5,000 feet. During the winter and spring, the waters around the islands are teeming with sailfish, wahoo, king mackerel, and barracuda. Sports fishermen prize wahoo for their speed and high-quality flesh. The sailfish, with its large dorsal fin, is quite impressive. During the spring and summer, your catch could include marlin, yellow fin tuna, and mahi mahi.

The Born Free IV is a 48-foot Chris-Craft vessel. Chris-Craft boats are known for their classic design, distinct style, and first-class naval engineering. Join Captain Pinder on his Chris-Craft boat. Learn from one of the best and catch a new trophy for your wall.
