Stuart Cove Two Tank Morning Dive Overview

Stuart Cove began his dive business in 1978 with one boat. He bought the boat with money he made as a stunt/safety diver for the James Bond film “For Your Eyes Only.” On a good day, he took out 20 divers on a one-tank dive per day. More than 30 years later, his reputation for quality services has made his business the most sought-after dive tour off of New Providence Island.

This two-tank morning dive is for both beginning and experienced divers as long as they are SCUBA certified. There are more than 30 dive sites off the shores of New Providence Island. The first location will be at the site of one of the amazing underwater walls. Most of the walls begin at 40 feet and can reach down as far as 6,000 feet. Because of the clarity of the water, you will be able to see panoramic views of almost 200 feet. You will share the water with a variety of tropical fish, the sleek manta ray, and playful sea turtles. The coral gardens along the ocean walls are spectacular.

The waters off of New Providence Island also include a number of amazing wreck locations, including a wreck from one of the James Bond movies, the Cessna from the movie “Jaws,” and a 100-foot freighter. The area around New Providence Island is famous for underwater movie sets for feature films.

Working with the divemaster, you, along with the other divers in your small group, will determine the depth of each dive. You may choose to follow the divemaster down to 80 feet for 30 minutes. The crew determines the specific dive sites for the day based on weather conditions and client requests.
