Dolphin Encounters
Dolphin Encounters allows people to engage with a Bottlenose Dolphin in a controlled setting on a shallow-water area off the larger pool in one of our sizable marine mammal complexes at either our UNEXO compound in Port Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island or the Blue Lagoon Island campus off the coast of New Providence and Paradise Islands. If you are uncomfortable in deep water or would prefer to interact with these charming cetaceans in a more controlled environment, you will enjoy engaging with these fascinating creatures. You will have the chance to hug, pet, and kiss a dolphin on your Dolphin Encounter. Our professional animal trainers will be on hand to oversee all dolphin interactions, making sure that humans and dolphins enjoy a safe and fun-filled encounter.
After you arrive at one of our cutting-edge marine mammal facilities, you will be educated about these intriguing and intelligent creatures. Our dolphin experts will inform you about dolphin behavior, communication, anatomy, habitat, social structure, migration, courting habits, and diet of these remarkable animals. Visitors to one of our high-tech dolphin compounds will learn about cetaceans’ ability to communicate with each other over large expanses of open water. Dolphins also utilize sounds in order to echolocate while navigating, hunting, and finding fellow dolphins. Participants will learn how to communicate with these brilliant animals through hand gestures, just like the professionals. Once visitors reach the dolphin habitat, they can utilize their new communication skills to request that the dolphins perform incredible acrobatics.
